SPOT
Rishiri North Foot Campsite
Located at the entrance to the trailhead of the "Mount Rishiri Oshidomari Climbing Course", the campsite becomes a bustling base for climbers during peak season. The area around the campsite has also been selected as one of the "Top 100 Forests for Forest Bathing in Japan". There is also the spring water "Kanro Spring" at the third station of the "Mount Rishiri Oshidomari Climbing Course" and a hiking trail to Mt. Pon, so even if you don't climb the mountain, you can still enjoy camping for the purpose of forest bathing. It is about a 10-minute walk to "Kanro Spring", which has also been selected as one of the "Top 100 Famous Waters of Japan". The water for the kitchen at the campsite is drawn from Kanro Spring.
