Rausu Kunashiri Observation Tower
This facility, which includes an observation tower and exhibition space, is located on a hill 167m above sea level near the center of Rausu Town.
From the observation deck on the roof, you can see the grandeur of Kunashiri Island up close. It also offers a panoramic view of Rausu's city center and is a popular photo spot.
Inside the facility, there is an exhibition room and a video room explaining the Northern Territories issue, where visitors can learn about the historical background of the area, and learn about the visa-free exchange program. There is also a training room that can accommodate up to 40 people.
The road to the observation tower is narrow and quite steep, so please be careful when coming by car.

However, if Monday is a national holiday or a substitute holiday, the museum will be closed the following day. The museum may be closed temporarily due to weather and other reasons.
