Roadside Station Shiretoko Rausu
Roadside Station Shiretoko Rausu, where you can enjoy a panoramic view of Kunashiri Island, is located at the entrance to Rausu town center on National Route 335, heading north from Shibetsu.
If you want to enjoy Shiretoko Rausu to the fullest, first visit the Tourist Information Center for local and real-time information. They will provide you with detailed information on seasonal marine products, the status of each tourist spot, the appearance of whales, and anything else you might want to know.
You can also consult the tourist information center for cruise, tour, and lodging reservations.
At the adjacent Kaisen Koubou and Fukasoukan, you can buy seasonal seafood from Rausu. You can find a variety of Rausu souvenirs, including fresh seafood from the Rausu fishing port, sweets, goods, and more.
At the second floor cafeteria, you can enjoy gourmet food unique to Shiretoko Rausu. In addition to the standard sea urchin bowl, salmon roe bowl, grilled hokke set meal, grilled kinki set meal, and the popular kombu ramen, don't miss the black sea eel bowl that can only be found in Rausu.
