When you want to take a break from exploring Shiretoko, or when you want to warm your slightly chilled body on a whale or orca cruise ship, you can easily enjoy the warmth of a hot spring at "Rausumaru Footbath".

It is located along the street behind the "Shiretoko Rausu" roadside station and can be reached on foot.

The unique bathtub is made from a real fishing boat (a sea urchin fishing boat), and is covered with a roof so that it can be used even in bad weather.
It is also nice to know that the hot water is from the same source as the hidden hot spring "Kumanoyu.
