SPOT
Shiretoko National Park Rausu Onsen Campsite
Located in Shiretoko National Park, this campsite is surrounded by deep forests and is full of rustic charm. Aside from the kitchen and toilets, the campsite is left untouched by nature, making it a campsite where you can truly enjoy the outdoors. Each tent site has a bonfire, so you can warm yourself by the bonfire and enjoy the unique time that flows by in the night forest.
Due to the location, wild animals often visit the area. Be sure to check with the manager for information on brown bear sightings. There is a secret hot spring called "Kuma no Yu" near the campsite. If you stay here, be sure to try the Kumano Yu bath.
