The "wood-carved bear" is known as a representative folk craft of Hokkaido. Now, a Hokkaido restaurant named "KIBORI," featuring an incredible collection of 1,000 of these bears, is set to open in Shinjuku, Tokyo, on November 30, 2022.

The restaurant's interior, filled to the brim with wood-carved bears, is a truly breathtaking sight! It is said that over 100 of the bears were donated by the general public, giving new life to these wooden bears that had been tucked away in people's homes.

The restaurant consists of two floors: one with the theme of "UMI (Sea)," a lively show restaurant where you can enjoy fresh Hokkaido seafood, and another with the theme of "DAICHI (Land)," where you can enjoy barbecue centered around cheese, vegetables, and meat.
