Now, Marukuma's cuisine is based on medicinal foods. However, we do not sprinkle or knead bitter herbal medicines into the food. The basic idea is to use the power of healthy ingredients from each season to improve the body from the inside.
That's why we carefully examine our ingredients, selecting only those that we are satisfied with, and we do not use any food additives in our cooking.
The menu changes daily based on the ingredients available. When you order, you can choose from the plates of obanzai lined up on the counter, and they will serve it to you on a small plate. This interaction is very homey.
The menu on the day of the interview was a colorful lineup including specially selected potato french fries, deep-fried natto, carpaccio, and yam dressed in salted malt. Although they use carefully selected ingredients, each dish is priced at around 300 to 500 yen, making them easy on the wallet.
The sake that goes well with the sake is selected by Miyamoto Shoten, a long-established liquor store in the city. There is also a wide selection of fine sake from breweries all over the country. Hmm, be careful not to drink too much...
Of course, to finish off the meal, some people even come just to eat the specialty "Seasonal Medicinal Porridge (600 yen)," so you can cheer yourself on for the next day. The rich flavor of the broth and the power of the ingredients will permeate your entire body with every bite.
