Human connections are tomorrow's energy!

We asked Mr. Fukushima about his future goals.

In the second year, I would like to try my hand at making disaster preparedness meals using ingredients from Muroran and the surrounding area and making use of my knowledge of medicinal herbs! Also, I plan to learn more about fermentation, get some certifications, and in the third year, try my hand at making products with fermented foods."

He added, "The star of this store is the customers who come in. I want to be a place where customers who happen to be next to each other can connect with each other over food and drinks, and at the end of the day think, 'I had a good time today too! I want this to be a place where customers who happen to be next to each other can connect over food and drinks, and at the end of the day think, 'Today was fun! He also said.

Mr. Fukushima, who is eager to learn, is also participating in this year's Hokkaido Food Juku. He says that being able to connect with others involved in the food industry from all over Hokkaido has been a great source of support for him.

By the spring of 2023, he plans to commercialize "Celeb Rice," a neo-sekahan (red rice) product born from conversations with fellow Food Juku members, and begin selling it under their respective names.
