Mountainman is a restaurant hidden in the woods of Sapporo, Hokkaido, with an undisclosed address. The cuisine served here makes use of seasonal ingredients unique to Hokkaido, and fresh vegetables from the backyard are also used as ingredients. Moreover, diners can enjoy a dinner that arouses the senses, combining gibier and cheese in the midst of the forest. There is also a slightly unusual experience in the middle of the course meal! The restaurant "mountainman" is open only on Friday and Saturday nights. Dining starts at 7:00 p.m. and is limited to 12 people each time. Not only do you sit down and enjoy your dinner, but you can also cook over a wood fire, gaze at the stars in the night sky, and chat with other guests of the day. It is such a wild and luxurious dining experience.

The course menu varies from spring, summer, fall, and winter, and you can enjoy dishes based on the theme of the time. The July course we visited this time was "Morino DINNER <Summer> - wood-fired gibier and cheese. I was excited to see what kind of dishes would be served.
The first course was a cold corn soup with corn. The second dish was an assortment of appetizers. Venison dressed with homemade mugwort tartar sauce and cheese from Fattoria Bio Hokkaido.
After being guided to a table outside, everyone sat around a wood-fired cooking table for the third course! Cooking started at the wood-fired cooking table in front of us.
