The "Sapporo Yaki-imo Terrace," a popular autumn event in Sapporo that attracted about 30,000 visitors when it was first held in 2023, will be held again in 2024! This year, the number of stalls and the scale of the event will be greatly expanded, with a total of about 20 yaki-imo stores and sweets booths. A large number of unique yaki-imo booths will be set up!

In 2024, seven yaki-imo booths will appear, each offering special yaki-imo baked using their own special methods. Visitors can enjoy the different flavors and textures of each yaki-imo, such as pot-baked and stone oven-baked, and discover new charms of yaki-imo. There will also be additional sweets booths and kitchen cars, offering a variety of attractive sweets made from sweet potatoes, including sweet potatoes, brûlée, baked sweet potato cream buns, and sweet potato versions of popular sweets such as kurunji and tunkalong.

In addition to baked sweet potatoes and sweets, this year's terrace will also offer shochu and sake from sake breweries across Japan, as well as wine and craft beer. Please enjoy a luxurious time in Nakajima Park with its beautiful autumn leaves, while savoring snacks made with seasonal ingredients and fresh vegetables sent directly from farmers.

The venue, Nakajima Park Minami 9-jo Plaza, is located in front of the Sapporo Children's Puppet Theater Kogumaza and Nakajima Children's Hall, just outside of Nakajima Koen Station on the Namboku Subway Line. The scale of the event has been expanded to about three times that of the previous one, with approximately 300 seats available, including tent seats and standing counters. Nakajima Park, the venue of the event, is famous for its autumn foliage, and the ginkgo trees usually turn golden when the event is held.

The Sapporo Yaki-imo Terrace 2024 will be even more powerful than the highly popular 2023 event, with baked sweet potatoes and sweet potato sweets, as well as alcoholic beverages to be enjoyed with the taste of autumn!
