Inaugural Food and Film Festival: HOKKAIDO FOOD FILM FESTIVAL (Sapporo)

The HOKKAIDO FOOD FILM FESTIVAL, where you can watch delicious movies and enjoy delicious food, is holding its first official event following a pre-event in March. Carefully selected food-themed films from Hokkaido and around the world will be screened at multiple cinemas and facilities in Sapporo, and there will also be talk events featuring distinguished guests.

Additionally, from November 21 (Thu) to 24 (Sun), an event called "Sapporo Food Bar" will be held, where participating restaurants will offer one drink and an appetizer for 1,000 yen (excluding tax) when you show a digital passport. This is a new kind of event where you can enjoy both film and food simultaneously, with opportunities to taste gourmet dishes related to the movies and special bento boxes made for the screenings.

Star-Studded Artist Lineup at ES CON FIELD HOKKAIDO: HOKKAIDO LIVE FIELD (Kitahiroshima)

This is a live music event held at ES CON FIELD HOKKAIDO. The first lineup of artists announced includes Avantgardey, =LOVE, Kocchi no Kento, and DA PUMP. The spectacular production at ES CON FIELD is sure to electrify the venue.

Savor Fresh Oysters Grilled On-Site: The 62nd Akkeshi Oyster Festival (Akkeshi)

Held in Akkeshi, a town famous for its oysters, this is a perennially popular festival. Many tourists from within and outside Hokkaido gather at the venue to buy fresh seafood like oysters and clams. In addition to purchasing from the stalls, you can also rent a grill to enjoy your freshly bought seafood cooked over charcoal right on the spot.

Besides seafood, there are also food stalls selling snacks and sweets that pair perfectly with alcoholic beverages. Attractions such as a clam-grabbing game, an oyster-grabbing game, and an oyster-shucking championship are also held, allowing everyone from children to adults to fully enjoy the tastes of autumn.

Experience the World of a Popular Manga: Blue Period Exhibition in Sapporo (Sapporo)

This is an exhibition for the highly popular coming-of-age manga "Blue Period," which follows a protagonist captivated by the world of art who aims to get into an art university. You can experience the world of the work through displays of paintings from the series and an immersive theater. At the attached gift shop, you can also purchase exclusive merchandise available only at the venue.

Furthermore, at the concurrently held "SAPPORO MANGA PARK," works by manga artists associated with Hokkaido and Sapporo will be introduced, and there will be manga and art-related workshops, as well as a manga library where you can read freely.

This is a sales event featuring freshly harvested bounty from the sea and mountains unique to Samani Town in the Hidaka region. In addition to selling delicious seasonal flavors, various activities are planned, including a mochi-maki (rice cake throwing) lottery with fabulous prizes and stage events with dance performances. An Exchange Event Sharing the “Now” of Eastern Hokkaido: Little Doto @ Sapporo (Sapporo)

"Little Doto," an interactive exchange event that conveys the "now" of Eastern Hokkaido, organized by municipalities in Eastern Hokkaido and ".doto," which works on regional revitalization, will be held in Sapporo. With guests who are actively working in Eastern Hokkaido, you can get a real sense of life there through talks and Q&A sessions. You can also interact with other participants while enjoying drinks and light snacks and chatting with people of your choice.

A Community-Based Musical Rooted in Chitose: The 4th Performance

The Chitose Citizens' Musical is a community-participation musical created by "friends gathered in Chitose," featuring a story rooted in the city of Chitose. The script is also an original creation for Chitose, based on as much research into the city's historical facts as possible, and spotlights the lives of "nameless ordinary people." This work, "Each Morning," is the third installment and the first to be a contemporary drama.

Unique Works by Oil Painting Research Students: Oil Painting Exhibition (Sapporo)

This is an exhibition of works by the Oil Painting Research Lab at Hokkaido University of Education, Iwamizawa Campus. The venue will be filled with unique and expressive works painted by 17 research students studying oil painting in Iwamizawa. During the exhibition period, on November 23 (Sat) and December 1 (Sun), talk events with commentary on the works are scheduled to be held.
