"You'll be as full as a barrel" - Obihiro's leading bistro

Bistro Barrique

Owner chef Takeshi Komatsu

The restaurant's name "Barrique" refers to the oak barrels used to age wine. The owner and chef, Komatsu, named the restaurant this because he wanted his customers to leave feeling full and satisfied, just like a barrel. This feeling is reflected in the food, and every dish is really filling. If you go for dinner with about four people, you can order a variety of dishes to share.

Bistro Barrique

The stylish interior was renovated by the owner himself.

Owner chef Takeshi Komatsu is originally from Tokyo. He became interested in food and drink after working part-time at a restaurant, and at the age of 27 he worked at Le Bistro in Ebisu, Tokyo, where he met a restaurant and chef he respected, and decided to become a chef himself. With his experience working at Le Bistro as his base, he gradually built his own style of bistro by reading books and going to other restaurants. You can enjoy the casual bistro experience that is different from French course meals.
