Yakitori from Across Japan! Enjoy a Taste Comparison in a Retro Showa-Era Atmosphere at "Sapporo Yakitori Terrace 2026"
A highly anticipated outdoor gourmet event featuring signature yakitori from renowned shops across Japan. This popular event, which drew about 23,000 visitors in its first year, is back and even bigger, with eight stalls participating this year. You can indulge in a luxurious taste comparison of unique skewers, each with different ingredients and grilling methods, from familiar Hokkaido flavors like Muroran yakitori with its pork and sweet-savory sauce and Bibai's motsu-gushi (giblet skewers), to Nagano's garlic soy sauce, Kagawa's hearty bone-in chicken, and Okinawa's Agu pork.
The venue is enveloped in a warm, nostalgic, retro Showa-era atmosphere. The popular snack bar booth from last year has evolved into a two-part system. During the day, it operates as a craft gin stand featuring Hokkaido brands, and from the evening, it transforms into a snack bar where you can enjoy conversations with the hostesses, offering different vibes. Additionally, there will be booths serving perfect finishing dishes like fragrant dashi-scented soba and oden, as well as a wide range of beverages from cold beer to soft drinks for children.
