Calling All Cheese Lovers! 4 Ultimate Dishes from a Cheese Factory's Own Restaurant!

Ooey-gooey melted cheese—everyone loves it! At Restaurant Miyamoto in Abira, you'll find a mouth-watering lineup of dishes loaded with just that. Just looking at the menu is enough to make your stomach rumble!

Abira is actually the birthplace of Japan's very first cheese factory. And Restaurant Miyamoto is the factory's very own restaurant, run by Hayakita Cheese Yuminsha. That means you're guaranteed the freshest, most delicious cheese.
Of course, the menu is filled with dishes that use cheese generously. They all look so delicious it's hard to choose, but let's start with the most popular item.
This is the "Caciocavallo and Vegetable Hamburg Steak" (1,350 yen, tax included). To keep the caciocavallo perfectly melted, it's brought to your table with a lid on, which is removed just before serving. It's made with 100% Muminton pork, the highest grade of whey-fed pork, so the rich flavor of the meat holds its own against the intense cheese.
If you want to fully enjoy the authentic taste of cheese, we recommend the "Three-Cheese Pizza" (920 yen, tax included). It features Camembert, Mozzarella, and blue cheese, along with slices of apple, a perfect match for the cheese. For an extra 120 yen, you can add some local Abira "rapeseed honey"—it's a must-try!
Recently, blue cheese has been gaining popularity, and Restaurant Miyamoto recommended a menu item featuring it. It's the "Blue Cheese Soft-Serve Ice Cream" (350 yen, tax included).

It has a rich, distinct blue cheese flavor, but surprisingly, it's not overpowering at all! Even people who aren't fans of blue cheese are sure to find this delicious.
Another great feature is the retail space next to the restaurant, where you can buy cheese, Muminton pork, frozen pizzas, and more. Feeling the happy afterglow of a cheese-filled meal, you might find yourself buying one of everything. They had a recommended blue cheese product here too.
It's the "Double Cheesecake" made with blue cheese and cream cheese (300 yen, tax included). While cheesecake is familiar, one made with blue cheese is quite rare.

But just like the soft-serve, this is also incredibly rich and delicious. Apparently, Restaurant Miyamoto has always operated with a spirit of "Let's try something new that no one else is doing," which is how they develop their menu items.

We can't wait to see what other cheese creations they'll come up with to make us smile in the future.
