1. Comey Ski Rinks (Asahikawa City)
Comey Ski Rinks is a ski resort with an elevation difference of 600 meters and the longest course of 4,000 meters. In addition to pressurized courses, there are 8 varied courses including bump courses and deep snow courses, which can be enjoyed by beginners and advanced skiers alike. A full lineup of rental equipment is available, so don't worry if you come empty-handed or forget something. There are also three areas where you can eat and drink while enjoying the view of the slopes.

2. Pippu Ski Resort (Pippu Town)
Pippu Ski Resort overlooks the Kamikawa Basin with the Daisetsuzan mountain range, known as the roof of Hokkaido, in the background. It boasts the largest slopes in northern Hokkaido, with 9 courses of various variations to satisfy everyone from beginners to experienced skiers. You can enjoy smooth powder snow while feeling the vast nature.

3. Asahikawa Santa Present Park (Asahikawa City)
This ski area is easily accessible from JR Asahikawa Station. The park is equipped with a variety of courses, from easy courses for beginners to advanced and experienced skiers. A full range of rental equipment is available, including wear and accessories. In addition to skis and boards, sleds and snow scoots are also available. Night skiing with a panoramic view of Asahikawa city at night is also recommended.

4. Nayoro Pyashiri Ski Resort (Nayoro City)
Pyashiri Ski Resort has a reputation for having the best snow quality in Japan, and with nine different types of courses, you can choose the level of difficulty that suits you best, or just enjoy the snow the way you feel and the quality of the day. Not only can you enjoy skiing and snowboarding, but if you are lucky, you may even be able to see the sun pillar phenomenon.

5. Kunisetsu Horotachi Ski Resort (Horokanai Town)
A popular ski resort for beginners and experts alike, with an environment blessed with nature and steep slopes that are extremely rewarding to ski. As one of the heaviest snowfall areas in Hokkaido, there is ample snowfall, and the nighttime snowfall in Horokanai Town provides smooth, fluffy powder snow that contains almost no moisture. There are four courses ranging from beginner to advanced, and the slopes, which are left unpaved, are truly a powder freak's paradise.

6. Wassamu-cho Higashiyama Ski Resort (Wassamu Town)
Located between Asahikawa City and Nayoro City, Wassamu Higashiyama Ski Resort offers powder snow slopes. The courses are suitable for both beginner and advanced skiers, and the forest course from the second lift is a dynamic and powerful course. The access to the resort is very convenient as it is only about 5 minutes from the Wassamu Exit of the expressway.

Temmozan Ski Resort (Rishiri Town)
This is the only ski resort in Rishiri Town where you can enjoy a panoramic view of the Sea of Japan from the top and even see Rebun Island on a clear day. The resort is equipped with night lighting, so you can enjoy night skiing.

8. Mikasa Ski Resort (Edasai-cho)
A ski resort where you can enjoy the view of drift ice spreading white below you. From early February, when the drift ice comes in contact with the shore, you can enjoy skiing amidst the unique scenery of a town facing the Sea of Okhotsk. The appeal of the resort is its various course designs, from long beginner courses to advanced courses with slopes of 26 degrees.

9.Haboro Ski Resort Biyu (Haboro Town)
Haboro Ski Area "Byu" has two courses with a view of the wide Sea of Japan and beautiful winter scenery. The courses are suitable for beginners to intermediate skiers and snowboarders, and there is also a slope for sledding and other activities. The night skiing is also available, and the night view from the top is truly spectacular, making it a great place for friends and family, as well as for lovers on a date.

10. Inosawa Civic Ski Area (Asahikawa City)
Inosawa Shimin Ski Resort is the only citizen ski resort operating in Asahikawa City. Located just 20 minutes by car from the center of Asahikawa and right next to the residential area of Kamii, it is easily accessible and has been a favorite of citizens for many years. The course is suitable for beginners and children, making it the perfect place for first-time skiers and those who are not yet accustomed to skiing to practice.

11. Hyuga Ski Area (Shibetsu City)
Although small in size, the slopes can be enjoyed by beginners and experts alike. Ski and snowboard rentals are available, and snow scooting is also possible. Night skiing in the fine powder snow is also recommended. After skiing, you can enjoy a meal and heal your tired body at Hyuga Onsen.

Kamoi-dake International Ski Resort (Utashinai City)
Kamoidake is one of the largest ski resorts in the Sorachi region. The terrain, which is suitable for both beginners and advanced skiers, is popular among skiers, snowboarders, and cross-country skiers, who can enjoy winter sports in the great outdoors. The hot spring accommodations attached to the resort are the perfect place to relax after a long day of fun in the snow.

13. Nakatombetsu Kotobuki Ski Resort (Nakatombetsu Town)
Taking advantage of the heavy snowfall in Nakatombetsu Town, you can experience fresh powder skiing. There are various courses such as advanced, intermediate, family, cross-country, fresh snow, and board-only courses. There is also a cafeteria with a variety of warm menus that are great for cold bodies, and can be enjoyed by families and friends alike.

14.Mt. Toma Ski Resort (Toma Town)
The lush greenery of Mt. Toma is transformed into slopes in winter. The longest run is 240 meters, with a maximum slope of 17 degrees, and there is a free rope lift. The gentle and wide course is safe for beginner skiers and snowboarders, and there is also a sledding course for children.

15. Kodaira Moyodai Ski Resort (Kodaira Town)
The location overlooking Kodaira City and the Sea of Japan is a ski resort with a spectacular view. Snowboarding is also possible on the slopes with excellent snow quality that is suitable for beginners, families, and advanced skiers. There is a store and a cafeteria in the lodge, so you can take a rest when you get tired.

16. Otoifuji Ski Resort (Otoishifu Village)
This village-run ski resort is located in Otoeishifu Village, the smallest village in Hokkaido. There are beginner to advanced courses and forest courses, and snowboarders will be happy to know that all courses are open to snowboarders. The beginner to advanced courses are open for night skiing, so you can enjoy a different view than in the daytime.

17. Shimokawa Ski Resort (Shimokawa Town)
A compact family-oriented ski resort with courses that are perfect for children. With free ski rope lifts, many families enjoy skiing on holidays. Although small, there are also three ski jumps next to the ski slope.

18. Hokuryu Ski Resort (Hokuryu Town)
The town's handmade ski resort was established in 1968 by elementary school PTA members and teachers who worked together to cut down trees on the mountain, remove the roots, and clear the land. It has powder snow slopes for beginner skiers and is open for night skiing, making it perfect for families and for practicing to improve skills.

19. Toyotomi Onsen Ski Resort (Toyotomi Town)
Recommended for beginners and families, this ski resort is located near the hot spring resort area. There are three courses: an advanced course, an intermediate course, and a beginner course, and night skiing facilities and lifts are also available. On a clear day, Mt. Rishiri can be seen from the slopes, and after skiing, visitors can enjoy the nearby Toyotomi Onsen hot springs.

20. ASHIMOI KANKO Takaho Ski Resort (Numata Town)
A safe and comfortable family oriented ski slope, reopening in 2022 with a two-seater lift instead of the aging single-seater lift. This is a family ski area that can be enjoyed by beginners and up, but with the relocation of the lifts, it has a slightly different feel than in the past. The rest area at the lodge is also more spacious and comfortable.

22. Asahi Ski Resort (Shibetsu City)
Asahi Ski Resort (Shibetsu City) is a ski resort for beginners and experts alike, where snowboarding is allowed on all slopes, and there are two different courses, A Course and B Course. The resort is equipped with lighting facilities so that night skiing can be enjoyed, and the Asahi Alpine Ski Competition is held in early February.
