The sandy campground facing Lake Shikotsu is all free tent sites, allowing you to pitch your tent anywhere you like.
The location offers a great sense of openness with a view of Mt. Eniwa in front of you. It is nice to spend a day looking out at the changing face of Lake Shikotsu at noon, dusk, night, and early morning. Another attraction of this campground is that it is far away from the lights of the town, so you can see the star-filled sky at night.
