Kirin Brewery Hokkaido Chitose Factory produces beer beverages and other beverages using pure water from the Uchibetsu River, a tributary of the Chitose River, and almost 100% of its products are consumed within Hokkaido.
The site has a garden where visitors can take a stroll and enjoy the seasonal flowers and take commemorative photos with an actual SL (steam locomotive) in the garden under the concept of "a beer brewery rich in nature typical of Hokkaido.
Inside the brewery, visitors can take a free "Discover the Secret of Taste" tour, where they can observe the beer production process and taste freshly brewed beer, as well as visit the store and restaurant. The shop sells original products such as beer chocolates, beer glasses, and beer mugs, and the restaurant features a lineup of beer restaurants called "Haube" where visitors can enjoy Hokkaido's ingredients, original flavors, and freshly brewed delicious beer.
Kirin Brewery Hokkaido Chitose Factory also holds numerous events and campaigns throughout the year, and is well known by people in and outside the city as a community-based, open-air factory.
