Abashiri City purchased the farm of Abashiri Prison and has maintained and managed it as a tourist farm since 2006. Visitors can experience harvesting asparagus, mini-tomatoes, and corn. In addition, the first sunflowers are at their best in July, the second sunflowers and cosmos are at their best in September, and trees, plants, flowers, and wild birds can be observed along the Abashiri River.
