Oshamambe Park
Oshamambe Park, completed in Showa 48, is a park equipped with a campground, a pond, play equipment, etc., on vast grounds. (Certified as a comprehensive park of urban parks from January, Heisei 24.)
In the spring of fresh green, cherry blossoms and azaleas bloom in full glory, and in the pond surrounded by natural stones, when summer comes, beautiful flowers of water lilies and irises add color to the waterside. A walking path "Tomino no Mori" where the view is splendid and forest bathing can be done is adjacent. The promenade is also maintained and has gained a high reputation even within the prefecture.
In addition to play equipment facilities, tennis courts, etc., of sports facilities, there are also bungalows with toilets and sinks, and a spacious parking lot is also complete, so it is also ideal for breaks during drives and camping during touring.
In the peak season, from early to mid-August, many campers every year enjoy Oshamambe's summer nights. Among them, there are also groups who visit every year from outside the prefecture, staying for consecutive nights while becoming familiar with Oshamambe's nature, and it has become established as a base for Southern Hokkaido campsites.
