Oshamambe Park

Completed in 1973, Oshamambe Park is a park with a vast site that includes a campground, a pond, and playground equipment. (It has been certified as a comprehensive urban park since January 2012.)

In the fresh green of spring, cherry blossoms and azaleas are in full bloom, and in summer, beautiful flowers like water lilies and irises add color to the waterside of the pond surrounded by natural stones. Adjacent is the 'Tominono Mori' walking trail, which offers excellent views and a chance for forest bathing. The walking paths are also well-maintained and have earned a high reputation within Hokkaido.

In addition to playground facilities and sports facilities such as tennis courts, there are also bungalows equipped with toilets and sinks. A spacious parking lot is also available, making it ideal for taking a break during a drive or for camping during a motorcycle tour.

During the peak season from early to mid-August, many campers enjoy the summer nights in Oshamambe each year. Some groups come from outside Hokkaido every year, staying for multiple nights while enjoying the nature of Oshamambe, and it has established itself as a base for camping in Southern Hokkaido.
