A view from a small hill of purple and the Tokachi Mountains

A lavender garden located on a small hill, filled with bright purple and refreshing fragrance from late June to early August. The viewpoint features lavender fields on the west side of the observatory and the Tokachi mountain range on the east side.

The lavender is mainly of the late-blooming Okamurazaki variety, so even if you come a little late in the season, you will still be able to enjoy a spectacular view. A variety of events are held here, including the "Kamifurano Festival of Flowers and Flames" held every July.
