Cape Noshappu

The word "Noshappu" is derived from the Ainu word "Nok Shamu", meaning "by the cape" or "where the cape sticks out like a chin".
The view of Mt. Rishiri, Rebun Island, the floating island of flowers, and the shadow of Sakhalin can be seen in front of the cape, and at sunset, the setting sun on the horizon creates a moving scene.
In the early morning around July and August, you can also see the summer's poetic scene of Rishiri kelp pickers on the surrounding beaches.
