SPOT
Menjoki
"Menjoki" is conveniently located a 5-minute walk from Kita24jo Station on the Namboku Subway Line and has a parking lot. The restaurant has four seats at the counter and six seats at tables, providing a relaxing atmosphere in which to enjoy a meal. The specialty, "Hokkaido Sanpai Kombu Sui Tsukemen" (1,280 yen), features noodles soaked in kombu soup stock, and the flavor of kombu can be enjoyed even without dipping sauce. The dipping soup is salty with concentrated chicken and pork flavors, and is in perfect harmony with the kelp water. There is also a split soup offered in bottles, allowing you to enjoy every last drop.
The "back fat niboshi" is another popular menu item at this restaurant, which opened in January 2022 after its owner, Nakano, who founded the popular Kyoto ramen restaurant "Seaburanojin," moved to Sapporo. A fusion of Kyoto and Niigata ramen, the richness of the back fat and the flavor of the niboshi (dried sardines) are a perfect match.
