SPOT
Okhotsk Tokkari Center Azarashi Land
This is the only facility in Japan that protects and raises the seals that appear along the coast of the Sea of Okhotsk around the time of the drift ice season. There are several dozen seals, mainly spotted seals, as well as ringed seals and ribbon seals.
During the feeding times, held five times a day, the sight of the seals eating their food and their charming tricks always draw cheers. Additionally, the keepers provide a detailed explanation of the seals' ecology. Also, there are windows in the walls of the breeding pool that allow you to look underwater, and you can also observe the seals as they swim.
