Okhotsk Tokkari Center Seal Land
The only facility in Japan that protects and raises the seals that appear along the coast of the Sea of Okhotsk.
This is the only facility in Japan that protects and raises the seals that appear along the coast of the Sea of Okhotsk around the time of the drift ice season. There are dozens of seals, mainly spotted seals, as well as ringed seals and ribbon seals.
Feeding time is held five times a day, and the seals are always eating and performing adorable tricks, which always draw cheers from the crowd. The zookeepers also provide detailed explanations about the ecology of the seals. There are also windows on the walls of the breeding pool through which you can look underwater, so you can watch the seals swimming.
