The only place where you can see the whole of Lake Saroma

Located almost in the center of the shore of Lake Saroma, the 376-meter-high Horoiwa Mountain offers a first-class view because there are no high mountains around it. The Saroma Lake Observatory, located near the summit, is the only place where you can see the entire lake, the sandbar that separates the lake from the sea, the Sea of Okhotsk in the distance, and even the Shiretoko mountain range.
