Experience Farm and Fureai Farm
Overview
At the "Experience Farm," pumpkins, a specialty of Saroma Town, are planted. Dozens of varieties are planted, from edible to ornamental, and a pumpkin tunnel appears in the fall. After the pumpkins are harvested, "Rinzou (sunflowers)," a green manure crop, is planted to help build up the soil, which turns the entire area yellow from October to November.
In addition, cute ponies and horses graze at the nearby "Fureai Ranch. If you can play the finger whistle, be sure to "beep" at the ranch. Maybe the ponies will come to you.
