Piraolo Lookout
The best view of Lake Saroma from the lakeshore. It is said that the Ainu people used to watch for fish. The meaning of "Piraolo" is "a place with a cliff" in Ainu language (pira = cliff, oro = place). It is also the setting of a legend of a sad love story between a young Ainu man and his daughter.
