SPOT
Roadside Station Lake Saroma / Local Products Shop Minori
Along National Route 238, facing Lake Saroma, you will find the roadside station "Lake Saroma" and the local product shop "Minori."
These facilities are modeled after the cowsheds and silos used in dairy farming, Saroma Town's main industry. The facility has space for tourists and drivers to rest freely, and is used as a starting point for people visiting Lake Saroma.
The toilets, which are available 24 hours a day, were registered as a roadside station in 1997, making it the 51st roadside station in Hokkaido.
In addition, the "Minori" local product shop displays and sells various Saroma specialties and products, such as scallops, pumpkins, and beef from Saroma town. The soft serve ice cream made from local pumpkins is the most popular item at this store. In addition to local products, the store also carries a variety of products from the Okhotsk coast, making it a great place to buy souvenirs from eastern Hokkaido. Of course, it also offers shipping to other areas.
On the top of the hill, there is a lodging facility called "Yurinkan", an experience farm, a petting ranch, and more.
