These facilities are modeled after the cowsheds and silos used in dairy farming, Saroma Town's main industry. The facility has space for tourists and drivers to rest freely, and is used as a starting point for people visiting Lake Saroma.
The toilets, which are available 24 hours a day, were registered as a roadside station in 1997, making it the 51st roadside station in Hokkaido.
In addition, the "Minori" local product shop displays and sells various Saroma specialties and products, such as scallops, pumpkins, and beef from Saroma town. The soft serve ice cream made from local pumpkins is the most popular item at this store. In addition to local products, the store also carries a variety of products from the Okhotsk coast, making it a great place to buy souvenirs from eastern Hokkaido.
