SPOT
Taiyo no Oka Engaru Park
Taiyo no Oka Engaru Park is a sprawling 65-hectare urban park that makes full use of the entire area from the top of one hill to its base, filling it with colorful flowers.
In one corner, there is a "cosmos garden" where 10 million mixed cosmos and yellow-flowered cosmos bloom from summer to fall, and from spring to early summer, Ezo-yamazakura cherry trees, pale light red grass cherry trees, and azaleas in the International Friendship Forest are in full bloom. Visitors can enjoy a variety of flowers from spring to fall, and the park is a place of relaxation for many people, including the residents of the town.
The park is also home to the town-run Miharibi Farm, which, as the name implies, offers a great view of the city and, on a clear day, the Sea of Okhotsk. Please spend a pleasant time at the Sun Hill Engaru Park while enjoying the refreshing breeze.
