72nd Kitami Bonchi Festival (Kitami City)

Kitami Bonchi Festival, a summer tradition in Kitami, features a dance parade, a tug-of-war, and the Samba Kitami Bayashi Children's Carnival. 67th Nemuro Port Festival (Nemuro City)

The city will host the traditional "Sennin Odori" dance parade, and an exciting "boat rowing race" will be held at Nemuro Port. At night, large fireworks will light up Nemuro's short summer and bring the festival to a close.

14th Hometown Ginga Line Rikubetsu Railway Festival (Rikubetsu Town)

Approximately 1,500 fireworks will light up the night sky of Rikubetsu Town, and a special train will also be operated where you can enjoy the fireworks from inside a diesel railcar. The main festival on the second day will feature live performances by popular comedians, a special train experience ride that extends beyond the station, horseback riding, dance performances and many other events. The 52nd Hidaka Ki Tamashii Festival and Saru River Fireworks Display (Hidaka Town)

The historic Hidaka Tree Spirit Festival is held to give thanks to the trees of the forest, with a legendary dragon as its guardian deity. It also features a delicious food market where you can sample local products, as well as stage events such as traditional performing arts. The 54th Gunrai Festival (Tomari Village)

"Kuki" refers to the large schools of herring that gather to spawn, and this festival is held to commemorate the past when herring fishing was a prosperous business. There is also a food corner where you can enjoy local seafood, and events to participate in such as "all-you-can-harvest sea urchins and scallops," and the fireworks you can watch while looking out over Benten Island floating on the coast are truly spectacular.

The 51st Sarufutsu Tourism Festival (Sarufutsu Village)

Hakodate Shimbun Hakodate Port Fireworks Festival (Hakodate City)

The Hakodate Port Fireworks Festival, which began in commemoration of the establishment of Marine Day, is now one of the three major fireworks festivals in Hakodate, and is a popular fireworks festival that heralds the arrival of summer in Hakodate. This year's theme is "Summer Night Rock Cafe." Hakodate Port will be livened up with creative fireworks, music, talks, and various other performances.

77th Abashiri Okhotsk Summer Festival / Abashiri Fireworks 2025 (Abashiri City)

This citizen-participation event livens up Abashiri's summer with events such as the "Ryuhyo Odori" dance, in which about 1,000 dancers take part, and a musical parade, turning the central shopping district into a pedestrian zone. The finale is a spectacular fireworks display over the Abashiri River. About 12,000 fireworks, including 2-shaku fireworks, will light up the night sky and the Sea of Okhotsk.

Doushin UHB Fireworks Festival (Sapporo)

This fireworks festival is popular among Sapporo residents as a seasonal event that heralds the arrival of summer in Sapporo. The 59th Otaru Tide Festival (Otaru City)

The Otaru Ushio Festival, a representative event of summer in Otaru, was started as an opportunity to pass on Otaru's history and culture to the next generation and to pray for the development of Otaru. The 79th Muroran Port Festival (Muroran City)

The historic Muroran Port Festival is Muroran's biggest summer event, drawing in the entire local community. The excitement reaches its peak with the Muroran Nerikomi, a parade of majestic portable shrines, the Citizens' Dance, performed by 1,000 people, and the finale, Yosakoi Soran in Muroran. Saika Festival Fireworks Display 2025 (Iwamizawa City)

A festival where you can enjoy flowers, gourmet food, and fireworks. The 38th Tsukigata Summer Festival (Tsukigata Town)

This traditional summer festival, which represents Onuma, began as a memorial for those who drowned in the lake. It is lively with stage events and street stalls, and the fantastic "Nagashi Lantern Festival" which anyone can participate in is a fantastic event. 8th Rankoshi Seseragi Festival (Rankoshi Town)

The Rankoshi Seseragi Festival is held on the clear waters of the Shiribetsu River. Hakodate Port Festival to commemorate the 166th anniversary of the port's opening (Hakodate City)

The Hakodate Port Festival, a symbol of summer in Hakodate, is the city's largest festival, bustling the entire city. The 24th Mikasa Kitakaibon Dance (Mikasa City)
