Kitami Bonchi Festival

The Kitami Bonchi Festival, a seasonal summer event in Kitami, features a dance parade, a tug-of-war, and the Samba Kitami Bayashi Children's Carnival. EVNET 2 The 67th Nemuro Port Festival (Nemuro City)

Nemuro Port Festival

The city will host the traditional "Sennin Odori" dance parade, and an exciting "boat rowing race" will be held at Nemuro Port. At night, large fireworks will light up Nemuro's short summer and bring the festival to a close.

Hometown Galaxy Line Rikubetsu Railway Festival

Approximately 1,500 fireworks will light up the night sky of Rikubetsu Town, and a special train will also be operated where you can enjoy the fireworks from inside a diesel railcar. The main festival on the second day will feature live performances by popular comedians, a special train experience ride that extends beyond the station, horseback riding, dance performances and many other events. Hidaka Tree Spirit Festival

The historic "Hidaka Tree Spirit Festival" is held to give thanks to the trees of the forest, with the legendary dragon as its guardian. Crowd Festival

"Kuki" refers to the large schools of herring that come to spawn, and this festival is held to commemorate the past when the area prospered from herring fishing. There is also a taste corner where you can enjoy local seafood, and events where you can participate, such as "All-you-can-eat sea urchins and scallops," and the fireworks you can watch while looking out over Benten Island on the coast are very impressive.

Hakodate Port Fireworks Festival

The Hakodate Port Fireworks Festival, which began in commemoration of the establishment of Marine Day, is now one of the three major fireworks festivals in Hakodate, and is a popular fireworks festival that heralds the arrival of summer in Hakodate. Abashiri Okhotsk Summer Festival

This citizen-participation event livens up Abashiri's summer with events such as the "Ryuhyo Odori" dance, in which about 1,000 dancers take part, and a musical parade, turning the central shopping district into a pedestrian zone. This fireworks festival is popular among Sapporo residents as a seasonal event that heralds the arrival of summer in Sapporo. The historic Muroran Port Festival is Muroran's biggest summer event, with all the locals coming out to have fun. The excitement reaches its peak with the Muroran Nerikomi, a parade of majestic portable shrines, the Citizens' Dance, in which 1,000 people dance, and the Yosakoi Soran in Muroran finale. Saika Festival Fireworks

A festival where you can enjoy flowers, gourmet food, and fireworks. This traditional summer festival, which represents Onuma, began as a memorial service for those who drowned in the lake. It is lively with stage events and outdoor stalls, and the "Nagashi Lantern Festival" that anyone can participate in is a fantastical event. The fireworks that are launched at the end of the festival are reflected on the lake surface like large flowers, and the beauty of the display is captivating.

Rankoshi Stream Festival

The Rankoshi Seseragi Festival is held on the pure Shiribetsu River. This year's revival of the festival will see a beer garden and jazz music on the eve of the festival, and spectacular fireworks will be displayed in the evening. Asahikawa Summer Festival

The Asahikawa Summer Festival, which livens up Asahikawa's summer, is a three-day event that combines the three elements of fireworks, dancing, and gourmet food. There are plenty of highlights, such as the Doshin Summer Fireworks Festival, where about 4,000 fireworks light up the night sky, a dance parade in which 2,000 citizens dance, and the Fierce Summer Tanabata Festival, where a spectacular portable shrine procession and floats and dance troupes parade through the streets. Hakodate Port Festival

The Hakodate Port Festival, which represents summer in Hakodate, is the largest festival in the city and brings excitement to the entire city. On the first day, a five-part program will be held from Green Island, where a variety of fireworks will be launched to music, including wide star mines, impressive shakudama fireworks, trick fireworks, and underwater fireworks. Lake Toya Long-run Fireworks Festival

This year marks the 44th fireworks display on the lake. Every night, boats move around the lake and launch the fireworks, so you can see the whole of Toyako Onsen town. Some hotels even offer views from the rooms and large public baths, so enjoying the fireworks while soaking in the hot springs is a unique experience only available at Toyako Onsen.

EVNET 58 Demon Fireworks in the Valley of Hell (Noboribetsu City)

Hell's Valley Fireworks

This fireworks display is held in Jigokudani, the source of Noboribetsu Onsen, a popular hot spring spot in Hokkaido. The highlight is the spectacular sight of the "Yukijin" hot spring gods living in Jigokudani unleashing powerful demon fireworks into the night sky like an eruption. The hand-held fireworks, which are meant to pray for the happiness of all people and protection from disaster, shoot up to a height of 8 meters, drawing roars of excitement from the crowd.
