2. Abashiri Lake View Ski Resort (Abashiri City)

This ski resort offers the unique scenery of the Sea of Okhotsk and powder snow. Of the seven courses, six are suitable for snowboarding, so snowboarders can enjoy themselves without hesitation. There is also a sledding course for small children, making it perfect for families. If the weather is good, you can even see the Shiretoko mountain range from the summit.

3. Monbetsu Municipal Daisen Ski Resort (Monbetsu City)

This ski resort offers a panoramic view of the Sea of Okhotsk from the slopes. Not only can you ski down the slopes while watching the drift ice coming up to the sea in front of you, but it also has the advantage of being close to the city and next to the national highway. There is also a hut that doubles as a restaurant and rest area, as well as a two-seater pair lift, making for a comfortable stay.

4. Engaru Rock Valley Ski Resort (Engaru Town)

This ski resort offers a wide variety of courses to satisfy everyone from beginners to families and advanced skiers. It is fully equipped with six courses, including a championship course with a maximum slope of 33 degrees, a course with a dynamic run over 1,000 meters in length, and a family slope for beginners and families to enjoy, as well as a bobsleigh plaza. 6. Nukabira Onsenkyo Ski Resort (Kamishihoro Town)

Located in the Nukabira Onsenkyo hot spring resort in Daisetsuzan National Park, this ski resort allows you to enjoy the natural beauty of eastern Hokkaido, including the Higashi-Daisetsu mountains, Lake Nukabira, and Mount Meakan, which can be seen on a clear day. 7. Sakuragaoka Ski Resort (Takinoue Town)

This ski resort has four courses on a northwest-facing slope with excellent snow quality that can be enjoyed by beginners and advanced skiers alike. There is also a walking ski course at the base, and it is fully equipped with lifts and night skiing facilities. Located in the center of the Nigorikawa district, it is also known as a famous cherry blossom viewing spot in spring.

8. Okoppe Town Ski Resort (Okoppe Town)

This ski resort offers views of the drift ice of the Sea of Okhotsk from the summit. The course is short, at just 400 meters in length, but the slopes are spacious and suitable for beginner and intermediate skiers, so even family skiers can enjoy themselves with peace of mind. 9. Churui Shiragindai Ski Resort (Makubetsu Town)

This is the only ski resort in southern Tokachi with a full slope. In addition to skiing and snowboarding, it is a family-friendly slope where you can also enjoy sledding. A recreation park in Kunbetsu Town opens as a ski resort in the winter. With a slope area of 26,000 square meters, it is popular with many people from both inside and outside the town. It is free to use and there is also a sledding course, so parents and children can have fun together.

There are four varied courses, including one with a total length of 1 kilometer, that are enjoyable for everyone from beginners to advanced skiers. 13. Lily Mountain Ski Resort (Bihoro Town)

A ski resort where you can enjoy a beautiful view from the summit. With a length of 450m, a maximum gradient of 20 degrees, and an average gradient of 13 degrees, this family-friendly slope is perfect for beginners and intermediate skiers and is close to the city center.
