Bankei Forest Sapporo Bankei Ski Resort

It's about a 20-minute drive from central Sapporo. It's open at night, making it a popular ski resort for office workers who drop by on their way home from work even on weekdays. There are 17 courses in total, ranging from gentle slopes for families to the FIS-certified "ban.K Mogul Course" and the "ban.K Half-Pipe Course," one of Japan's largest, which is scheduled to host the World Cup in March 2026. The slopes are centered around the Center Lodge and are divided into the East Area, which has ungroomed snow, and the West Area, where the ski school is located.

"Wakuwaku Snow Land" is located in a safe area separated from the general slopes, and can be easily accessed by snow escalators. With tubing and snow strider courses, it is the perfect area for tourists and children who have never skied before to get familiar with the snow. In addition, there is a 60-minute beginners' short lesson called "SNOW FIRST" that can be booked on the day, and there is also a wide selection of equipment rentals.
