SPOT
The aquarium exhibits about 250 species of creatures, including finless porpoises, which are raised only at Otaru Aquarium in Japan. There is also a full schedule of performances by penguins, seals, dolphins, and more. An amusement park and restaurants are also on-site, allowing you and your family/friends to enjoy the entire day.

・Approx. 60-70 minutes by car from Sapporo
・Approx. 20 minutes by car from Otaru
・After getting off at JR Otaru Station, transfer to the Hokkaido Chuo Bus bound for the aquarium.
*The Otaru Aquarium Set Ticket (JR + bus + admission) is available for purchase at major JR Hokkaido station travel centers (Twinkle Plaza).
■ Hokkaido Chuo Bus
Departs from JR Otaru Station for the aquarium. Buses operate from platform 3 of the Otaru Ekimae Bus Terminal, with two routes: one along the coast and one through the mountains.
*A discount on aquarium admission is available with the Otaru City 1-Day Bus Pass. There is also a discounted set ticket that includes a round-trip bus ticket from Sapporo and aquarium admission.
