SPOT
Shiroi Koibito Hakodate Bay Museum
An affiliate of Ishiya, known for Hokkaido's representative souvenir 'Shiroi Koibito', opened its first directly managed store in Hakodate in April 2026. It is a two-story building with a Japanese-Western eclectic style characteristic of Hakodate, regenerating the 'Kokian', a traditional building of Hakodate City. The exterior of the building has been preserved, while the interior has been renovated, retaining its original charm. The storehouse at the back is also utilized as part of the store.
Two types of 'Langue de Pie', which combine the familiar langue de chat from flagship products like 'Shiroi Koibito' with pie, have been developed as new products for the Hakodate launch. In addition, a total of four items are served from the open kitchen: 'Zakuri Pie Blueberry', a chilled pie with a crunchy texture, and 'Delica Pie Hokkaido Corn Cream Pie'. 'My Label Mini Pie', where customers can pack mini-sized pies into a cup and attach a custom label, is also available for sale.
The storehouse at the back of the store is designed to resemble the inside of a ship and serves as a photo spot. Additionally, original capsule toys, the second location in Hokkaido to offer them, can be purchased.
Of course, a wide variety of confectionery, including 'Shiroi Koibito', is available, and some products are offered in Hakodate-exclusive packaging.
