Sapporo Autumn Fest: A Grand Gourmet Event Gathering Food from All Over Hokkaido (Sapporo)

The Sapporo Autumn Fest 2025, Hokkaido's largest food festival, will be held in Odori Park from September 12th to October 4th. The venue, stretching about 1km, will be packed with ramen, curry, meat dishes, Hokkaido wines, craft beers, and seasonal sweets. Kita no Megumi Asahikawa Tabe Marche 2025: Asahikawa Transforms into a "Gourmet Market" (Asahikawa)

At the "Kita no Megumi Asahikawa Tabe Marche 2025," the entire city of Asahikawa transforms into a giant "gourmet market." It brings together culinary delights from northern Hokkaido, and the newly established "Food Forest Zone" will feature food stalls with dishes made in collaboration with Asahikawa ingredients.

Furubira Ebisu Shrine Festival: A Spectacular Display of Tengu, Lion Dances, and Fire-Walking with Mikoshi (Furubira)

This is a traditional event representing the town of Furubira, where "Sarutahiko," wearing a red costume and a tengu mask, leads a procession through the town to purify the sacred object. The town echoes with the sound of taiko drums and flutes, and the tengu's fire-walking through pillars of fire reaching about 3 meters high is a breathtaking sight. Following the brave figure kicking up sparks, lion dancers and mikoshi (portable shrines) also cross the fire, bringing the festival to its climax.

Miracle Illumination 8th: A Collaboration of Beautiful Autumn Leaves and Digital Art (Kamikawa)

This is an illumination event held at Sounkyo Onsen, at the foot of Mt. Daisetsu, known for having the "earliest autumn leaves in Japan." The Momijidani (Autumn Leaf Valley) walking path in the hot spring town is fantastically transformed with colorful lights and interactive digital art that responds to people's movements.

Biratori Wagyu & Tomato Festival: A Feast of Biratori's Specialties - Wagyu Beef, Black Pork, and Tomatoes (Biratori)

The "Biratori Wagyu & Tomato Festival" is the largest food festival in Biratori Town. You can savor the town's specialties—Biratori Wagyu beef, black pork, and ripe tomatoes—through barbecue, rice bowls, and processed goods for sale. The event is packed with activities, including a market with discounted local products, food and drink sampling, YOSAKOI and music performances, and a grand lottery. The town mascot, Birakky, will also make an appearance, making it a fun day for the whole family.

The 9th Matsumae Castle Town Tuna Festival: Savor Premium Bluefin Tuna in a Historic Castle Town (Matsumae)

This autumn gourmet event is a chance to fully enjoy bluefin tuna caught off the coast of Matsumae. In addition to sushi and rice bowls, there will be special limited-time dishes and a lineup of exquisite products made with Matsumae's local specialties. An on-site sale of fresh bluefin tuna also draws large crowds.

The 33rd Nemuro Saury Festival: Enjoy Charcoal-Grilled Saury, an Autumn Delicacy, at the Port (Nemuro)

This saury festival is held in Nemuro, a city famous for its saury catch. At the robata (fireside grill) corner, you can enjoy fresh Nemuro saury grilled over charcoal. Additionally, proud local dishes from Nemuro's "Hama no Kaa-san" (Mothers of the Shore) will be available. The product sales area will be lined with stalls selling fresh seafood like crab and oysters, processed goods, souvenirs, and more.

The 22nd Shintoku Shin-Soba Festival: Compare Freshly Made "4-tate" Soba Noodles (Shintoku)

This is the largest new-crop soba festival in Shintoku, a nationally renowned soba-producing region. At the "Soba Yatai Mura" (Soba Stall Village), where local soba restaurants and noodle-making groups gather, you can compare "4-tate" soba—freshly harvested, freshly milled, freshly made, and freshly boiled. In addition to the new soba, you can also enjoy other local delicacies like Shintoku chicken, log-grown shiitake mushrooms, soba crepes, and rich soft-serve ice cream.

Furano Cheese Festival: Enjoy Special Dishes Made with Furano Cheese, Milk, and Butter (Furano)

This autumn food event is held at the popular "Furano Cheese Factory," a favorite among tourists. The outdoor booths will feature a variety of special dishes made with plenty of Furano cheese, milk, and butter. Additionally, all products in the shop, except for wine, will be 10% off. There will also be a prize lottery and limited-time discounts on hands-on workshops.

Hokuto Autumn Leaves Corridor: A Stunning View of Illuminated Foliage Reflecting on the Water (Hokuto)

This autumn foliage illumination event takes place in the 11-hectare Hachironuma Park in Hokuto City. About 2,000 trees, including maples and azaleas, change color, and their reflection on the water's surface creates a breathtaking view.
