Conveyor belt sushi restaurant Kitakitai Yamahana branch

Kitakitai, which opened in Yamahana, Sapporo in 2024, is a conveyor-belt sushi restaurant that takes pride in the fresh fish delivered directly from fishing ports in and outside Hokkaido. The extremely fresh ingredients, selected by the "eyes" of veteran middlemen, include not only bluefin tuna, but also hand-peeled sweet shrimp from Haboro, homemade marinated mackerel made from cold mackerel at the time when it is at its fattiest, as well as Lake Shikotsu chips and Hokkaido star anise, and even things that even Hokkaido residents rarely eat.

They also sell Japanese sake, and you can enjoy a drink at a sushi restaurant with dishes such as "Kai Zanmai," which lets you taste the freshest shellfish, and "Gunkan Yamato," which comes with raw sea urchin, salmon roe, and snow crab.
