Takino Suzuran Hillside National Government Park / Takino Snow World
Takino Suzuran Hillside National Government Park is the only national government park in Hokkaido. The 400-hectare park grounds feature colorful flower fields, large play equipment, three waterfalls, and a forest perfect for strolling, bustling with Sapporo citizens and tourists.
Around Christmastime, it reopens for the winter season under the name "Takino Snow World." Admission is free in winter, and visitors can enjoy various snow activities. The 250-meter-long slope with a 7-degree incline is perfect for a child's first time skiing. For cross-country skiing, courses are prepared, including those with few undulations for beginners and those with varied terrain for intermediate and advanced skiers. Family slope lift tickets and ski equipment rentals are also available.
