National Takino Suzuran Hillside Park / Takino Snow World

From spring to fall, flower gardens, large playground equipment, and waterfall tours are popular. In winter, it is a great place to play in the snow!

Takino Suzuran Hillside Park is the only national park in Hokkaido, with 400 hectares of colorful flower gardens, large playground equipment, three waterfalls, and a forest perfect for strolling, attracting many Sapporo citizens and tourists.

Around Christmas time, the park is renamed "Takino Snow World" and opens for the winter season. Admission is free in winter, and visitors can enjoy a variety of snow games. The 250-meter-long, 7-degree slope is perfect for children's skiing debut. There are a total of six walking ski courses: 1 km and 5 km for beginners, 3 km and 6 km for intermediate skiers, and 10 km and 16 km for advanced skiers. Family ski lift tickets and ski equipment are available for rent.
