Takino Suzuran Hillside National Park is the only national park in Hokkaido. The 400-hectare site is home to colorful flower fields, large playground equipment, three waterfalls, and a forest perfect for strolling, making it a popular destination for Sapporo residents and tourists alike.
Around Christmas, the park changes its name to "Takino Snow World" and opens for the winter season. Admission is free in winter, and you can enjoy a variety of snow activities. The 250m-long, 7-degree slope is perfect for children's first skiing experience. The cross-country ski slope has few ups and downs. There are courses for beginners as well as undulating courses for intermediate and advanced skiers. Family slope lift tickets and ski equipment rentals are also available.

[Bus] *There are three bus stops within the park: "Suzuran Park Stream Entrance," "Suzuran Park Central Entrance," and "Suzuran Park East Entrance."
・From Makomanai Station on the Subway Namboku Line, take the bus and get off at Suzuran Park Keiryuguchi, Suzuran Park Centralguchi, or Suzuran Park Eastguchi.
・From Fukuzumi Station on the Toho Subway Line, take the bus to Suzuran Park Keiryuguchi, Suzuran Park Centralguchi, or Suzuran Park Eastguchi. *No service in winter
