"Rail Carnival in Otaru" is a foot-operated trolley ride that takes in the breeze on the historic Temiya Line in Otaru. The trolley rides along the abandoned Temiya Line, running from Otaru Station Chuo-dori to the Otaru Port Inaho Line. It's not only a great way to see Otaru, but it's also a special experience that's recommended for families, as it's free for elementary school children on Children's Day, May 5th.

The annual Jozankei Onsen Keiryu Koinobori (Carp Streamers) event brings color to Jozankei in spring.
