OrgofA's new work, "In This Room, on an Island Where Storks Fly," will be his first in about two years since 2023.
Following on from her previous original play "Higher than the Rainbow, Brighter," scriptwriter and director Masako Takahashi will focus on "pregnancy, childbirth, and childcare" and depict five stories that take place in five rooms in Sapporo. Prior to the performance, a free advance reading event will be held in July with two performers and the scriptwriter and director. After the reading, a social gathering will be held, providing an opportunity for people to talk about their own or their family's or acquaintances' experiences with pregnancy and childbirth, as well as their impressions and opinions when reading and reading the actual script. Based on the impressions and opinions heard at this event, the organizing group OrgofA will use them to polish the script and create the actual production.
