Overview

The jumbo Christmas tree has been installed every year since 1993, the year of its opening, and this year marks its 32nd appearance. As in previous years, the 15-meter-high Abies sachalinensis tree donated by Hiroo Santaland (Hiroo-cho, Hiroo-gun, Hokkaido) will be decorated with approximately 50,000 red, blue, yellow, white, green, and gold LED lights and 1,500 ornaments, and a showtime of lights and music will create a glittering and magical world. This year, box-shaped lanterns made from larch and Abies sachalinensis from Hiroo Town will also be lit.

Atrium
Centered around a jumbo Christmas tree, the atrium will be filled with a glittering Christmas arch decorated with LEDs and ornaments, a red carpet leading from B1 to 1F, and bright red poinsettias all over the flowerbeds.

The music and light show time in the atrium will run for about 5 minutes every hour from 16:00 to 21:00.
The lights will be turned on at 17:00 on November 2 (Saturday) only.

■Frontier Pavilion
Mini-trees decorated with handmade ornaments by children from kindergartens and nursery schools in Sapporo will be displayed on the 2nd floor of the Frontier Pavilion.

■Wood illumination (first appearance)
A 1.8-meter box-shaped lantern made of larch and Abies sachalinensis from Hiroo Town will be installed.
